Everything You Need to Know
Tattoo FAQs
Whether it’s your first tattoo or your fiftieth, there’s always something worth asking. Here are the ones we hear most often. If yours isn’t on the list, just get in touch and we’ll sort it.
Got Questions?
We've Got Answers.
How much will my tattoo cost?
It depends on the size, placement, complexity, and the time involved. We’ll always give you a clear quote upfront so there are no surprises. Get in touch with your idea and we’ll give you a realistic figure.
Do I need to book in advance?
For larger or custom pieces, yes. Booking ahead gives your artist time to work on the design properly and makes sure you get the right person for your idea. For smaller, simpler work we take walk-ins when we have availability, but a quick call first is always a good idea.
What about a deposit?
Yes, we take a deposit to secure your appointment. It comes off the total cost on the day and covers the design time your artist puts in beforehand. If you cancel with less than 48 hours notice, the deposit is non-refundable.
Is it going to hurt?
Yes, some. But most people are genuinely surprised by how manageable it is. How much it hurts depends on placement, your pain threshold, and how long the session runs. Your artist will keep checking in and won’t push you beyond what you’re comfortable with.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
- Sleep well the night before
- Eat a proper meal before you come in
- Drink plenty of water
- Wear loose clothing that allows easy access to the area being tattooed
- Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours beforehand
- Moisturise the skin in the days leading up to it, but nothing on the day itself
Can I bring someone with me?
Absolutely. A familiar face helps, especially for a first tattoo. Just keep it to one or two people so the studio stays comfortable for everyone in it.
What if I want to change the design?
We work through the design with you before you sit down, so you’ll have seen and approved it before anything is started. If something feels off at any point, just say so. Getting it right matters more to us than getting it done quickly.
Do you tattoo under 18s?
No. Full stop. UK law is clear on this and so are we. You must be 18 or over. We will ask for ID.
Can you cover up an existing tattoo?
In many cases, yes. Send us a photo of what you have and what you’re thinking, and we’ll give you an honest answer about what’s achievable.
What beauty treatments do you offer?
Head over to the Beauty page for the full list, or drop us a message and we’ll tell you what’s available and get you booked in.
